The 2026 ECSCI Cluster Webinar Series opened on Monday, 20 July 2026, with its first session bringing together three Horizon Europe cybersecurity projects, ResilMesh, SONIC, and MIRANDA, to share their latest work on protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats.

The session was opened by Prof. John Soldatos (INNOV-ACTS), on behalf of the ECSCI Cluster Coordination, who introduced the series and outlined the cluster’s mission and objectives.

Brian Lee, from the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), presented ResilMesh’s work on threat hunting, covering the project’s security orchestration and analytics toolset, its AI-driven threat detection capabilities, and results from pilots in critical infrastructure sectors.

Dr Kitty Kioskli, CEO and Co-founder of Trustilio, introduced SONIC, a Security Oriented Nexus for Intelligent Commodity solutions marketplace, focusing on zero-trust architecture, SIEM integration, and mechanisms for cross-sector threat intelligence sharing.

Matteo Repetto, from CNR – National Research Council of Italy, closed the talks with MIRANDA’s approach to monitoring, investigating, and responding to cyber-attacks through an adaptive digital twin model for agile services across the computing continuum, highlighting distributed monitoring, anomaly detection, and privacy-preserving telemetry.

The webinar drew 50 registrations and welcomed 38 attendees, reflecting strong interest across the cybersecurity community in cross-project collaboration on critical infrastructure protection.
