AI Week 2026, held on 19–20 May at Fiera Milano Rho, once again confirmed its position as one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to artificial intelligence. Bringing together more than 700 speakers and thousands of participants from industry, academia, startups and public institutions, the event provided an ideal setting to discuss how AI is reshaping critical sectors and to exchange ideas on emerging technological trends.

For the CyberAId project, the event represented an important dissemination opportunity to engage with a broad and diverse audience. GFT welcomed visitors to its exhibition stand, introducing CyberAId’s vision for strengthening cybersecurity in the European financial sector through advanced artificial intelligence. The informal setting encouraged open discussions with professionals from different backgrounds, creating valuable opportunities to explain the project’s objectives and gather first-hand impressions from potential stakeholders.

Many conversations focused on the growing cybersecurity challenges facing financial organisations as digital transformation accelerates. Visitors showed considerable interest in CyberAId’s integrated approach, which combines AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and state-of-the-art cybersecurity technologies to improve cyber resilience throughout the entire security lifecycle. The project’s concept of orchestrating multiple cybersecurity capabilities through an intelligent AI layer attracted particular attention, especially its potential to support security teams with contextual recommendations, automated analysis and faster decision-making.

Attendees were also interested in the platform’s key technological building blocks. These include proactive vulnerability management supported by AI, real-time monitoring and threat detection, intelligent incident response, digital twin environments for secure testing, privacy-preserving data analysis and the exploration of quantum-resistant security mechanisms. The project’s emphasis on maintaining human oversight while leveraging AI to enhance operational efficiency resonated strongly with cybersecurity professionals seeking practical and trustworthy applications of artificial intelligence.

Beyond its technological innovations, CyberAId sparked discussions around the evolving European regulatory landscape. Participants recognised the importance of solutions capable of supporting compliance with frameworks such as DORA, NIS2, GDPR and the AI Act while helping financial institutions strengthen operational resilience against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. The combination of regulatory awareness and cutting-edge AI technologies was widely perceived as one of the project’s distinguishing features.

The event also provided valuable feedback on the clarity and relevance of CyberAId’s communication. Explaining complex concepts to visitors with varying levels of technical expertise offered an opportunity to test how effectively the project’s objectives can be communicated beyond the research community. The positive engagement demonstrated that the project’s vision addresses real concerns shared by organisations navigating the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

The CyberAId consortium thanks everyone who visited the GFT stand during AI Week 2026 for their interest, insightful discussions and valuable feedback. The CyberAId Project’s second General Assembly Meeting, hosted by UNPARALLEL, was held on 30 June – 1 July 2026 in Costa de Caparica, Portugal.

Over two productive days, project partners came together to review progress, exchange knowledge, and coordinate the next steps of CyberAId – AI-Driven Cybersecurity for Financial Service Providers. The meeting highlighted the power of collaboration in developing innovative AI-driven solutions to strengthen cybersecurity and resilience across the financial sector.

Throughout the meeting, partners engaged in comprehensive discussions across the project’s work packages, covering project management and coordination, quality assurance, legal and ethical aspects, dissemination and exploitation activities, and the technical progress achieved so far. Dedicated sessions focused on the project’s LLM-powered reference architecture, systems integration, proactive vulnerability management, real-time monitoring and detection, incident investigation and response, and the development of AI-driven cybersecurity capabilities.

The second day was dedicated to the project’s use cases, with partners aligning on the implementation, integration, and validation of cybersecurity solutions for financial services, including impersonation detection, anti-money laundering, anomaly detection, and cyber-resilient threat detection. Discussions also addressed pilot preparation, technical integration, validation methodologies, and the next implementation milestones.

The discussions enabled consortium partners to align on the project’s technical progress, strategic objectives, and upcoming milestones, while reinforcing a shared understanding of the next implementation steps.

The third CyberAId tutorial introduces CyberAId, an innovative AI-driven multi-agent platform developed to strengthen cybersecurity and regulatory resilience across the financial services sector. By combining specialized AI agents with existing security infrastructures, the project seeks to address the growing complexity of cyber threats, regulatory obligations, and security operations faced by modern financial institutions.

Using this vision as a foundation, the tutorial examines how CyberAId enhances threat detection, incident investigation, threat intelligence, and compliance activities through a coordinated ecosystem of expert AI agents. Particular attention is given to the platform’s architecture, including the Central Router Agent, human-in-the-loop oversight, tiered autonomy, and alignment with regulatory frameworks such as DORA and the EU AI Act.

It also provides an accessible introduction to key concepts underpinning the project, including multi-agent AI systems, federated knowledge sharing, digital twins for adversarial testing, and quantum-token authentication. Through this exploration, learners will gain insight into the objectives, innovations, and expected impact of CyberAId and its role in advancing secure and resilient digital finance.

The CyberAId project participated in the 22nd Annual International Conference on Distributed Computing in Smart Systems and the Internet of Things (DCOSS-IoT 2026), held on June 22-24, 2026, in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The presentation introduced the CyberAId approach to developing a trusted, sovereign, multi-agent AI solution for cybersecurity, focusing on the graduated autonomy levels of cybersecurity agents. It also outlined the approach of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) CyberAId project to developing a multi-agent solution for enhancing the cyber resilience of financial organizations.

The CyberAId project recently participated in the Austrian Logistics Day 2026, held on 17–18 June 2026 in Austria.

The event brought together more than 500 participants and addressed the major transformations affecting the economy and logistics sector, including the conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, the global race for energy and raw materials, and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence. These developments are prompting companies to rethink their supply chains and business models.

CyberAId was represented by its partner QUBO Technology, with a presentation on Quantum Supply Chains as part of the two-day programme focused on understanding structural changes in logistics and presenting practical solutions from industry, research, and technology. At the exhibition area, QUBO also showcased its demonstration equipment and visualised the CyberAId project at the project booth, allowing attendees to learn more about the project and its objectives.

The participation in Austrian Logistics Day 2026 increased the visibility of CyberAId among the event’s broad audience and provided an opportunity to present the project within discussions on the future of logistics and emerging technologies.

The second CyberAId tutorial explores the transformative convergence of quantum technology and artificial intelligence within the global financial services sector. While these emerging technologies offer significant opportunities to enhance risk assessment, fraud detection, portfolio optimization, and operational efficiency, they also pose unprecedented challenges to existing cybersecurity frameworks.

Using this evolving landscape as a foundation, the tutorial examines how quantum computing and AI are reshaping digital trust and security in financial institutions. Particular attention is given to the growing threat that quantum computers pose to current cryptographic standards, including risks such as “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” attacks. The tutorial highlights the importance of adopting post-quantum cryptography, quantum key distribution, hybrid computing architectures, and crypto-agile security strategies to ensure long-term resilience.

It also provides an accessible introduction to key quantum computing concepts while outlining practical steps organizations can take to prepare for a post-quantum future. Through this exploration, learners will gain insight into both the opportunities and challenges presented by the next generation of computational technologies and their implications for the future of secure digital finance.

The first CyberAId tutorial explores the emergence of Claude Mythos, a powerful new artificial intelligence model designed for cybersecurity applications. The model has attracted significant attention due to its advanced ability to identify previously unknown software vulnerabilities, demonstrating the growing impact of AI on cyber defense.

Using this case as a starting point, the tutorial examines how artificial intelligence is transforming vulnerability discovery, security operations, and cyber resilience. It also highlights important considerations regarding the responsible use of advanced AI technologies and their implications for the cybersecurity landscape.

The CyberAId project recently participated in the 16th AI Connected World 2026 event in Athens, organized by Smartpress, contributing to the panel discussion “Cyber Resilience: Protecting Intelligent Infrastructure.”

During the panel, Christos-Antonios Gizelis presented the vision of the Cyber Resilience Synergy Network (CRSN) Alliance, an initiative that brings together organizations, research centers, industry stakeholders, and cybersecurity experts to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation in cyber resilience.

The session was moderated by Thanassis Staveris, CEO of Tools of Technology, and featured Lampros Katsonis, Solutions Director at Guardbyte, and Nikos Lianos, Cyber Security Account Executive at Cisco Hellas.

The discussion focused on one of the most pressing challenges of the digital era: strengthening cyber resilience across critical infrastructures and strategic sectors. Participants explored the importance of building trusted partnerships and collaborative ecosystems to address evolving cyber threats, while highlighting the role of cooperation between industry, research, and cybersecurity communities.

The panel also examined how Artificial Intelligence can support threat detection, enhance situational awareness, and improve incident response capabilities. In addition, participants discussed the importance of strengthening cyber resilience through training, skills development, and capacity-building initiatives, as well as supporting organizations in navigating the evolving European cybersecurity and digital resilience landscape.

A key message emerging from the discussion was that the future of cybersecurity will depend not only on technology, but also on the ability of organizations to work together across sectors, disciplines, and borders. Initiatives such as the CRSN Alliance demonstrate the value of collective action in building a more secure and resilient digital Europe.

The CyberAid project recently participated in the Automation & Robotics Expo (A+R Expo) 2026, held from 25–27 April 2026 at the Athens Metropolitan Expo, Greece. As Greece’s leading technology trade fair, the event gathered a broad ecosystem of industry stakeholders, researchers, and technology providers focused on the future of industrial innovation.

A+R Expo 2026 showcased major developments in robotics, industrial automation, and smart manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and drone technologies. The event served as a high-impact platform for strategic networking and cross-sector collaboration across industrial, technological, and academic communities.

Within this context, CyberAid’s partner, InQbit Innovations, presented the project’s integrated cybersecurity solutions for the financial sector, showcasing its multi-layered cyber resilience approach.

The CyberAid booth attracted approximately 80–100 visitors, enabling direct engagement through demonstrations, technical exchanges, and discussions with professionals from both industry and research domains.

CyberAid’s participation at A+R Expo 2026 reinforced its role in advancing secure digital infrastructures and promoting resilient, AI-aware cybersecurity solutions within increasingly automated and interconnected industrial environments.
