On May 5th in Oslo, Norway, the CyberAId project participated in Data Week 2026, a two-day physical event (May 5–6) organised by the Big Data Value Association in collaboration with BDVA members IFE (Institute for Energy Technology), NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), SINTEF, and the Western Norway Research Institute, with support from The Research Council of Norway.

Under the overarching theme “Data Fjords: Unlocking AI for Industry and Society,” the event focused on the fundamental elements of data value creation and the pivotal role of artificial intelligence in unlocking this value across sectors.

As part of the programme, CyberAId contributed to the session titled “AI Driven Cybersecurity: Data, Agents, and Guardrails for a Resilient Digital Europe,” together with ENFORCE_EU, CTIS4NIS, 5G-TACTIC, ACT4FOOD, and VIGILANCE. The session explored how AI, data-driven intelligence, and agentic systems are reshaping Europe’s cyber resilience landscape.

Moderated by John Soldatos, the session featured expert insights from Christos-Antonios Gizelis, George Manias, Odysseas Kokkinos, Wissam Mallouli, Valeria Popescu, Nikolaos Ntampakis, and Nikolaos Alexopoulos. The workshop combined project showcases, expert keynotes, and a roundtable discussion addressing the development of trustworthy, adaptive, and policy-aligned cybersecurity ecosystems in Europe.

Discussions highlighted the growing impact of AI agents in cybersecurity and the shift toward an emerging agentic paradigm for strengthening cyber resilience. Participants examined how cybersecurity roles and incident response teams are expected to evolve in environments increasingly supported by large-scale AI-driven agents, as well as the levels of autonomy these systems may achieve.

The session also addressed implications for the regulatory landscape, including key EU frameworks, alongside ongoing challenges related to legacy systems and compliance constraints. Broader strategic considerations were raised regarding Europe’s technological sovereignty in the context of global developments in generative AI.

Overall, the session offered forward-looking perspectives on the future of AI-enabled cybersecurity in Europe, while sharing insights from ongoing European initiatives, including CyberAId.
